Background

Hello, my name is Aditya Akkapeddi. My journey began in music, where I earned a Master’s in Music Composition for Film & TV from Kingston University, UK, and a Bachelor’s in Vocal Performance from Middlesex University. Music taught me creativity, storytelling, and how to connect with audiences — skills I now bring into design to create meaningful, user-centered experiences.

Why UX Design?

I didn’t start in UX — I started by noticing problems.

While working at companies like Pixetron, Harman, and Casio, I was constantly drawn to understanding why products didn’t work the way users expected. At Casio, working directly with customers, I saw firsthand how small usability issues could create frustration — and how thoughtful improvements could completely change the experience.

That curiosity led me to UX.

Today, I focus on designing products that simplify complex systems and make them intuitive, efficient, and accessible. My work spans enterprise platforms across healthcare, fintech, and data systems, where I design end-to-end experiences grounded in user research, system thinking, and real-world constraints.

I’m especially interested in problems that sit at the intersection of complexity and clarity — whether that’s designing AI-assisted workflows, improving onboarding experiences, or creating scalable systems for diverse user groups.

For me, design isn’t just about how things look — it’s about how they work, how they scale, and how they help people succeed.

Project GOAT (CVS)

Project GOAT is an AI-powered learning and coaching platform designed to support customer service representatives at CVS from onboarding through continuous development.

The platform acts as a digital learning companion, providing structured training, real-time assistance, and escalation pathways to human experts when needed.

This initiative introduced a new AI-driven companion within the platform, shifting from manual training to a scalable intelligent system.
